Hogeschool Zeeland chess tournament

The organization of the 24th HZ tournament, which would take place in Vlissingen from 1 to 8 August 2020, announced on the website in April 2020 that this tournament was canceled because of the measures related to the corona problem. In the autumn of 2020, the organization then decided that the new playing dates for the 24th edition are from 7 to 14 August 2021.

However, because of the current developments about the corona problem, it is not clear at this time and it is uncertain whether the tournament can actually take place from 7 to 14 August 2021.

The organization intends to make a final decision in the course of upcoming spring about whether the 24th HZ tournament can be played in August 2021. This decision will be announced on the website as soon as possible.
